People come to confession for only two reasons. Every sin has as it’s root, two reasons.

This is a phrase we often use to satisfy ourselves that we are “good people” and are therefore going to heaven. But perhaps we must engage in deeper self-examination.

A covenant is very different to a contract. In a covenant, I give myself to the other person and it establishes a permanent interpersonal bond.
