Abortion and The Function of Government

This killing of an innocent child would not only be a violation of the texts of the constitution, but would also be a violation of the spirit of the constitution as enshrined in the declaration of independence:

All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men.

Legalizing Abortion Is Contrary to the Function of Government

“To secure these rights, governments are instituted among men”.

Government is instituted to secure rights and not to permit the strong to end innocent human life. Therefore, legalizing the deliberate and intentional ending of innocent human life [abortion] is contrary to the function of government.
